YQCA Training- April 16th

Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Training (YQCA)

Mr. Dean Slark, Markesan Ag Teacher and FFA Advisor, will be holding an in-person YQCA certification course on Sunday, April 16th at 4:00p.m. at Markesan High School.

Attendees must sign up and pay online ahead of the training at https://yqcaprogram.org/. Search for “Green Lake County YQCA Training”.

No payment or registrations at the door will be accepted.

There is also an online course option available as well on the website.

NEW THIS YEAR– The Green Lake County Livestock Council is sponsoring a $3.00 coupon for Green Lake County Fair livestock youth participating in the: Beef, Dairy, Goat, Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep, Swine project areas.

The $3.00 coupon can be used towards the in-person or online course registration fee. The coupon code must be applied at checkout when registering for a training.

To receive your $3.00 coupon

  1. Email Morgan Martinez, 4-H Educator, at morgan.martinez@wisc.edu
  2. State youth names who will be participating in the above project areas
  3. Within 48 hours (weekend emails will be responded to the next business day) you will receive an email from Morgan with the coupon codes. Each youth will receive a unique coupon code.

If you do not receive an email within 48 hours, please follow up to ensure your email request was received.

Per Green Lake County Fair exhibition rules, all Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Swine, Goat, Poultry & Rabbit exhibitors must complete the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training each year to be eligible to exhibit their animal(s) at the Green Lake County Fair. The YQCA certification must be completed by July 1.
